Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. Verification process
Upon receiving the request, the identity of the person needs to be verified to determine that it is the same person about whom the information is already present in the system. Verification efforts require the person to provide information so that it can be matched with the information provided previously. For example, depending on the type of request submitted, the person may be asked to provide certain information so that it can be matched with the information already present in the records, or the person may be contacted through a communication method (e.g., phone or email) that they have previously provided. Other verification methods may also be used as per the circumstances.
Personal information provided in the request will only be used to verify the identity or authority of the person to make the request. Additional information for the purpose of verification will be requested only if the identity cannot be verified from the information already present. Additional information may be requested to verify you and your consumer's request. If the request is submitted through an authorized agent, additional information may need to be collected to verify your identity before processing the request.
Upon receiving a request, a response will be given without undue delay, but in all cases, within forty-five (45) days of receipt. The response period may be extended once by forty-five (45) additional days when reasonably necessary. You will be informed of any such extension within the initial 45-day response period, together with the reason for the extension.
